Many novice robot builders make the mistake of adding parts, sensors and motors only on one side of the robot without thinking about how to balance it. It is more interesting however that after adding the sensor we should balance the nest holding the brick. When the catapult is loaded the distance between the sensor and the base of the robot is about 7-9 centimeters (~3 inches). What I have been doing is: - change polyline fit/smooth to cubic from properties - convert polyline to spline by typing spline - object - method - fit from properties You can see the original 3D polyline (green) and the resulting spline (magenta) in the attached drawing. When I zoom in and measure the distance between the two entities at different points along them, at some points the perpendicular distance exceeds 5 millimeters, and I want to ensure the deviation remains under 1 millimeter or even less. The sensor detects distance in centimeters or in inches. ADVERTISEMENT Is there a way, when you are drawing a polyline, to have the tooltip box show the cumulative length of the polyline, rather than the length of the current segment being drawn? I would like to take all the vertices out of a multiple-vertices polyline so that it reduces to just its start and end points, can this be done? Due to modeling purposes, I need to convert a 3D polyline to a spline.
